Significance of Time Zone for Online Events
Time zones are important for online events as they help ensure that participants from different parts of the world can join and participate in the event at a convenient time for them.
For example, if an online event is scheduled for 9:00 AM Eastern Standard Time (EST), this means that participants in New York City will attend the event at 9:00 AM, but participants in Los Angeles would have to attend the event at 6:00 AM Pacific Standard Time (PST) if they want to attend the event live. This could be inconvenient for participants on the West Coast, who might prefer to attend the event at a later time.
Setting Events as per a Particular Time Zone is very Important
To organize an online event, the organizer needs to set a base timezone for the agenda and schedule. The default timing for attendees' agenda and schedule will be displayed based on their system timezone. However, attendees can change their timezone in their profile section to match the event time.
